The collection consists of 365 art pieces in which “Gloso” gives us a glance into his personal journal during the year he moved from Puerto Rico to New York City. Crafted with everyday materials like Bristol paper, vellum, pencil, watercolors and ink, the artist challenged his creative outlet by doing a drawing every day for one year. What began as a simple technical exercise of repetition turned out to be a transformative process in the subject matter of his work. The exhibition explores the New York ambiance with sea life elements as well as rediscovering the Caribbean femininity in a cosmopolitan context.
