About Gabriel Nieto

Gabriel “Gloso” Nieto was born in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, where his grandfather, a pivotal mentor, introduced him to the world of art. During his teenage years, he studied at the University of Puerto Rico in Río Piedras and the Escuela de Artes Plásticas in Old San Juan. Specializing in large-scale painting, Gloso developed a focus on street art murals and graffiti, becoming part of the renowned “Santurce es Ley” urban art movement in 2013. Since 2015, he has worked as an expert painter for Colossal Media, a leading company in hand-painted outdoor advertising, while also pursuing his fine art practice. In 2019, he completed a solo project, producing a drawing every day for a year. He has since exhibited at art fairs such as Superfine in 2023 and participated in various group shows in New York and Puerto Rico. Currently, his studio is based in Barcelona, where he continues to create and expand his artistic practice.
